Uncovering the treasures of the earth in the rule of the Twelfth Imam (ajl)

Uncovering the treasures of the earth in the rule of the Twelfth Imam (ajl)

To achieve self-sufficiency and well-being at the level of human society, it is necessary to detect and extract mines and underground resources, and inevitable to exploit all resources of the earth. Most of treasures and materials needed for life come from mines. These mines and other materials, which might not be known to today man, will be exploited in the era after the coming of Imam Mahdi (as).

In our hadiths, it is mentioned about uncovering and extracting the treasures of the earth by the Twelfth Imam (ajl). For example, Imam Sadiq (as) says:

“The earth will uncover all its treasures and bring out its blessings.”

Also, at the night of Mi’rāj (ascent), God said to the Prophet (sa): “I will uncover the treasures and resources for him, Imam Mahdi (ajl), by my providence.”

In Irshād of Shaykh Mufid, it is also narrated from Imam Sadiq (as), who said:

“When our Qa’im (aj) arises, the earth will uncover its treasures, so people will see the treasures on the earth.”

From great emphases of the hadiths on the issue of mines and uncovering them for the Twelfth Imam (ajl), one can guess that what is known and discoverable for the present human being is negligible (due to the limitation of human knowledge in comparison to the era after the coming of Imam Mahdi (ajl) and the development of science and intellect of man with the guidance and teachings of Imam as the divine great teacher) and that in the rule of the Twelfth Imam (ajl), certain materials and minerals will be known and explored, which completely transform the faces of life.

In this regard, Imam Ali (as) says:

“The earth will bring out what it has in its depths for him, and will bestow him all its wealth and blessings.”

And in another hadith, Imam Muhammad Baqir (as) says:

“For our Qā’im, the treasures will uncover”

And this is for the blessed presence of Imam Mahdi (ajl), the proof of God, that mankind will benefit from these blessings.

So, we should ask God to hasten his coming and seek to eliminate the barriers of his appearance.
