Rayyan b. Salt said: When I wanted to go to Iraq, I decided to see Imam Reza (a), say farewell to him and take a shirt from him to put in my shroud and ask him some money to buy rings for my daughters.
When I went to Imam, saying farewell, I shed so much tears and became so upset that I forgot my requests.
When I was going, Imam (a) called me back. He said: “Rayyan! Do you want me to give you my shirt so that they put it in your shroud when you die?”
“Do you want me to give you some money to buy rings for your daughters?”
I said: “My master! Before I came to you, I decided to ask you such requests, but I was so upset of separation and being remote from you that I forgot them.”
So, Imam (a) took a shirt from behind of his backrest pillow and gave it to me.
And he removed the prayer carpet, took some money and gave to me. When I counted them, they were thirty dirhams.
