How to be entitled a right to enter the Paradise through intercession [of the Prophet (a)]?

How to be entitled a right to enter the Paradise through intercession [of the Prophet (a)]?

Belief in the One God and the Prophet (s) and the Twelve Imams (a), and service and kindness to those noble ones is so important that it leads human beings to salvation and entering the Paradise, about which we mention some narrations.

In the book “Mahasin”, it is narrated from Imam Baqir (a):

When the Day of Resurrection comes, God gathers all His creatures from the beginning of creation to the end in one place, and there is a call, saying, “O you, who claim a right upon the Prophet (s) for intercession, stand up”, then some people stand and are asked: “why do you claim such a right from the Prophet (s)?”.

They answer, “we were kind and did good to his family after him”.

It is said to the Ahl al-Bayt (a), “Go and walk among the people, and whoever has done a favor to you or made a donation for you, take him to the Paradise”. (1)

In another hadith, it is narrated from the Prophet (s):

“Whoever has done a favor to one of my family or made a donation for them, I will reward him on the Day of Judgment.” (2)

Also al-Shaykh al-Saduq (ra) in his book al-Amāli narrates a hadith from Imam Baqir (a), who quoted from his father from the Prophet (s), who said:

“Whoever wants to get close to me and be entitled a right upon me to benefit from it on the Day of Judgment, he should do good to my family and make them pleased.” (3)

Al-Shaykh al-Saduq (ra) in his book al-Khisāl also narrated from Imam Ridha (a) from his noble fathers from the Prophet (s), who said:

“On the Day of Judgment, I will intercede for four groups, even if they come to me with the sins of all people on the earth: those who have helped my family; those who have fulfilled their needs when they needed; those who were friends with my family in their heart and speech, and those who defended and supported them.” (4)

From the above hadiths, it is understood that believing in the twelve Imams and doing good to them and assisting and serving those noble ones lead one to a good destiny through intercession in the eternal Paradise with indescribable blessings.

In this regard, in the book “Tafsir al-Imam al-Hasan al-Askari”, Imam (a) mentioned a long narration related to God’s taking pledge from His Servants, that God the Almighty said:

“O Adam, if an infidel, or all infidels, loves a member of the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (s) and his good companions, God will grant him as a reward a good destiny with opportunity of repenting and believing [in Him], and then He will take him to the Paradise.

God showers His mercy upon each of the friends of the Prophet (s) and his family and his companions, to the extent that if it is divided into the number of all human beings from the beginning of creation to the end of time, and all of them are infidels, it will be sufficient for them all to achieve the good destiny of believing in God and to deserve to enter the Paradise.” (5)

In another hadith, the Prophet (s) said that if all infidels love him, God will lead them to a good destiny with the opportunity of believing [in Him] and entering the Paradise with His mercy.

God willing, with the assistance of the Prophet (s) and the twelve Imams, especially Imam Mahdi (ajl), who is the living Imam of our time, we achieve this important and beautiful eternal end.
