“O’ Mufazzal, ponder on how perfectly God(Allah) created nails and hair because when both grow and need cutting, God has not given them sensation so that they give no pain when cutting them.”
Mofazzal asked: “Why God did not create them in a way that they do not need cutting?”
Imam replied: “God has some secrect behind this matter that no one knows so that we can be grateful to Him.
The reason behind growing nails and hair is that the pains in the body would come out as the nails and hair grow.
That is why peolpe are told to remove their body hair (using Noora) and to keep their hair and nails short so that each time they grow faster. By growing faster, diseases and pains come out faster and if cutting them are neglected or prolonged, pains and diseases remain in the body and can lead to other diseases…”
