Imam Sadiq’s miracle of turning wine into milk!

Imam Sadiq’s miracle of turning wine into milk!

One of the signs of the succession of the Prophet of Islam and the Imamate is to answer every question and to know about the actions, intentions and conscience of people, and to perform miracles, one of which is the transformation of one thing into another, which we mention here as an example.

It has been narrated that al-Sayyid al-Ḥimyarī (who did not accept the Imamate of Imam Sadiq) was on his way to Medina one day while carrying a jar of wine with him, when he suddenly encountered Imam Sadiq, the sixth successor of the Prophet of Islam, (pbuh)!

Hazrat Imam Sadiq [even though he knew (with occult knowledge) what he was carrying in the jug] they asked him: What do you have in the jug?

Ḥimyarī (falsely, probably to protect his reputation) said: O son of the Messenger of Allah, I have milk in a jug with me!

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Pour some of that milk in my palm!

So [he bent the jug and was surprised to see that instead of wine] some milk was poured from the jar into the palms of the Holy Prophet’s hands!

At this time, Hazrat asked him: Who is the Imam of your time?

Ḥimyarī said: The Imam of my time is the one who turns wine into lion! (By the miracle of turning wine into lion, he realized that the Imamate and succession of the Prophet is true of that Imam, just as today the successor of the Prophet of Islam is the living Imam of our time, the people of the end of the novel, Imam Mahdi.)

It is mentioned in Sayyid’s conditions that he repented of his sin (drinking wine) before his death and Imam Sadiq (pbuh) prayed for him many times.(1)

In Islam, man is forbidden from drinking wine and alcohol; the reason is that he loses his mind and goes into raptures, is being led to other sins and does accept the truth.

The reason why some people avoid accepting the religion of Islam and the truth and do not understand the light of Islam and acceptance, is because they eat a few drinks like wine, eat forbidden meat like pork and carrion, or not to eat halal food.

If a person does not use the above items for at least a few days and does not use wine, alcohol, forbidden meat such as pork and other meats such as fish without scales or others, even while using halal foods, he does not use the oil of forbidden animals in frying and he uses halal food and the meat of halal animals and Islamic slaughtered and vegetarianism, he realizes that his conscience receives Islam, truth and light, while he gains light by reading the Qur’an, Nahj-ul-Balagha and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bait.
