The late Sheikh Mufid, quoting from Imam Muhammad Baqir (peace be upon him), narrates:
One day, a number of people came to the presence of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (peace be upon him) and said to him: O son of the Messenger of God! Like your father, Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him), reveal to us a miracle that is very important.
Imam Mujtaba (peace be upon him) said: Will you be sure of my Imamate after seeing the miracle? And will you believe?
They said: Yes, we believe; And there will be no more doubts.
Hazrat said: Do you know my father? They all said: Yes.
At this time, Hazrat removed the curtain that was hanging; So suddenly all the people saw that Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him) was sitting.
Then Imam Hassan Mojtabi (peace be upon her) addressed the crowd and said: Do you know him?
They said: Yes, this is our teacher Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him). And we believe and bear witness that you are the guardian and proof of God’s truth; And you will be the imam and successor of your father.
And after that they stated: We are witnesses and witnesses that you showed us your father, Amir al-Mu’minin Ali, peace be upon him, after his death.
The same way that Hazrat, showed the Messenger of God( prophet), peace and blessings of God be upon him, to Abu Bakr and Omar after his death in the Quba Mosque.
Imam Hasan Mojtaba (peace be upon him) said: Woe to you! Have you not read and heard this noble verse of the Qur’an in which God Almighty says:
«وَلا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ یقْتَلُ فی سَبیلِ الله أمْواتا بَلْ أحْیاءُ وَلکِنْ لا تَشْعُرُون».[1] .
Do not think that those who were martyred in the way of God are dead; Rather, they are alive and eternal, but you do not understand.
Of course, this state is specific to those who were killed in the way of Allah, who will be present and watching everywhere.
Then at the end he added: What do you think about us, the Ahl al-Bayt of Prophethood and Prophethood?
They said: O son of the Messenger of God! We believe in you and we are sure that you are the imam and caliph by the right of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. [2]
