One of the signs of Imamate and succession of the Prophet is tenure of the objects and creatures of the universe. Here we refer to an example of from Imam Baqir`s capturing the eyes of the people.
Abu Basir says: I went to the mosque with the Majesty Abu J`afar Baqir (pbuh); people were coming and going. He said to me: Ask the people if they see me? I asked everyone I met: “Didn’t you see Abu J`afar?” He said: No. His Majesty was standing, until Abu Haroon Makfoof (blind) entered.
His Majesty said: Ask this too. I said to him: Didn’t you see Abu J`afar peace be upon him? He said: Is it not that he is standing? I said: How did you know? He said: How can I not know, while he is a shining light!
