Imam al-Hadi (a) Speaking in Turkish and Awareness of the hidden name!

One of the signs of imamate of the Ahl al-Bayt (a) is having good command of all languages of the world as well as accents and dialects, even local ones and here we will mention an example.

Abu Hashim Ja‘fari said, “I was in Medina when Bugha, the commander of Wathiq’s army was passing from Medina for capturing Arabs. Imam al-Hadi (a) told us, ‘let’s go see the equipment of this Turk.’ We went out and Wathiq’s army passed in front of us and the Turk commander arrived. Imam (a) spoke some words with him in Turkish. He got off the horse and kissed the foot of Imam’s (a) horse.

Abu Hashim said, “I asked the Turk commander earnestly together with swears to tell me what Imam (a) told him.”

He asked me, “is this person (Imam (a)) the Prophet (s)?”

I said, “no.” (He is the Prophet’s (s) successor, Imam (a) and the proof of God upon all the world.)

He said, “he (a) called me by the name I was called in childhood in my Turkish hometown and until now, no one knew it.”
