Hashim said:
A man went to Imam al-Jawad (a) and said: “O son of the Messenger (a) of God, my father has passed away and left some properties, but I do not know where he has placed it. I am one of your friends and your Shiites and have a large family. Please help me.”
Imam al-Jawad (a) said Abu: “After performing Isha’ prayer, recite salawat (salutation) upon Muhammad (s) and his family (a). At night, you will see your father in a dream and he will talk to you about his property.”
The man followed the order of Imam al-Jawad (a) and saw his father in a dream. His father showed him the location of the property and ordered him, “Go to the son of the Messenger (s) of God and inform him that I have shown you the location of my property.”
The next day, the man found his father’s property and reported the matter to Imam al-Jawad (a), saying: “Gratitude belongs to God who honored and chose you.”
