One of the signs of the imamate and successorship of the Prophet of Islam is the knowledge of all the inner worlds of humans and the worlds of existence. One of these things is knowing about people’s sleep.
We refer to a story about this:
Hakim Nishaburi quotes from Abu Habib in his document:
One day, I saw the Messenger of Allah in a dream in a house where pilgrims are resting, and I greeted him.
He had a container of Medina dates called Sayhani dates.
They gave me eighteen dates and I ate them.
After the taste of dates became stable (woke up) in my mouth, I wished to eat them again.
After twenty days, Abul Hasan Ali bin Musa al-Reza came from Madinah to Makkah and descended there, and people rushed to meet him.
I also went there and saw him sitting in the same place where I saw the Prophet in my dream:
While he had a container full of Medina dates and Sayhani dates.
I greeted the Imam and he called me to him and gave me a handful of dates (18 pieces) that the Prophet had given me in a dream. I told him: Give more dates.
The Imam said: If the Messenger of God had given more, I would have given you more. [20].
