Yahya bin Harthama says: On a journey from Madinah to Baghdad, we got very thirsty on the way and we were talking about dehydration and thirst. Hazrat Hadi, peace be upon him, said: “There is clear water in front of us from which we will drink.” We went a short way, we reached a very big tree that cast a shadow.
Next to that tree was a guarai cold water spring from which the water was boiling.
We all drank from the water of that spring and rested for a while and I hung my sword on that tree while leaving that house, I forgot to take my sword. After I traveled a long distance, I remembered the sword.
So I sent my servant to fetch it. Gholam went to fetch the sword, but I saw that he was stunned and thoughtful.
I asked: “Why are you like that?!” He said: “I went and took the sword, but there was no tree, no spring, and no sign of a spring!”
I became honored to serve Imam Hadi (peace be upon him) and told him what Ghulam said. So, Hazrat made me swear not to tell anyone about this dignity as long as I am alive. [1]
